Adam Weitsman Wins WPT x Daniel Arsham Celebrity Invitational
It was an intense, lengthy battle to determine the winner of the inaugural WPT x Daniel Arsham Celebrity Invitational, and when the smoke cleared at the end of the night entrepreneur Adam Weitsman outlasted the rest to walk away as champion.
Weitsman outlasted Emmy award-winning actor Neil Patrick Harris, Arsham himself, Patrick Bruel, Arden Cho and Eileen Davidson on his way to victory. Weitsman last ousted Bruel, the French singer-songwriter and actor with a lengthy list of poker accomplishments including a WSOP bracelet and final table appearances on both the World Poker Tour and European Poker Tour.
“It was the best time,” said Weitsman. “I mean, it was very stressful. It was long, but we had the best time and the gentleman at the end, I went against Patrick, just happens to be probably the nicest human – I met him tonight. So it was really fun to go up against such a skilled player.”
“It was a lot of fun to be here and it just couldn’t be possibly be cooler,” said Bruel. “But I was so close to making it at the end, and you know what luck decides? Absolutely the opposite result.
Weitsman’s prize for winning the event was a unique piece of art created by Arsham, in the form of a veiled Porsche sculpture.
